Angelica is here!
Angelica’s second release!
Founding members of LA Vintners, Angeleno Wine Company, Byron Blatty WInes, and Cavaletti Vineyards have announced a very limited release of the second vintage of Angelica.
Angelica is a recreation of the most popular wine in Los Angeles over a century ago: a wine made from juice of the mission grape that is fortified with brandy. In this case, the grqpes are unique and full of history, as they come from the San Gabriel Mission and their “Ramona” vine, planted (we think) in 1774. It is the oldest vine in the USA that produces fruit used to make wine. Only a little over 200 half bottles were made.
Angelica was released yesterday, Friday the 13th, at the three founding member tasting rooms. As the availability is very limited, if you want to be one of the few people in the world who get a bottle, hurry to one of tasting rooms of Cavaletti Vineyards, Byron Blatty Wines, or Angeleno Wine Co.
