In 1976 the so called "Judgement of Paris" pitted Napa Valley wines against France's best. 45 years later, can Napa withstand a challenge from an upstart winery here in Los Angeles? There's only one way to find out...
Join us on Saturday, June 26th at 2pm for "The Judgement of Los Angeles" at Vintage Wine + Eats in Studio City, for a blind tasting of some of Napa Valley's elite Cabernet Sauvignons along with the top wines from Byron Blatty.
Attendees will receive glass of 2020 Aurora upon arrival, followed by a seated blind tasting flight of 7 Cabernet Sauvignons from Napa Valley and Los Angeles, guided by Sommelier and owner of Vintage, Rebecca Phillips, and Mark Blatty Proprietor / Winemaker of Byron Blatty Wines.
With an average retail price of $135 / bottle, we'll be tasting some of the top wines in California, and the world. Each wine will be tasted blind, discussed and scored, concluding with the grand reveal of each wine, and how they ranked.
For years we've been preaching the merits of L.A. wine, and our belief that they belong right along side the world's best. Now's your chance to decide for yourself. How will Los Angeles fare against the Kingdom of Cabernet (Napa)? You be the judge...
